Consider the Lilies

What the lillies have to teach us about not worrying.
Lillies in a field

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”  Matthew 6:34

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6

“Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.” Proverbs 12:25

“So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy.” Ecclesiastes 11:10

“Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?  And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?” Luke 12:25, 26

Today, give God your worries. Take a moment and relax. Imagine stuffing all your worries in a bag and letting God take care of them for you until you are ready to either let them go or pick them up. Don’t worry…
