The Lord's Prayer | Te Karakia O Te Atua
The Lord's Prayer was spoken by Jesus in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4, and provides an easy way for us to pray alone or corporately. Many people who don't know God or have never been to church have still heard of the Lord's Prayer.
We have designed The Lord's Prayer | Te Karakia O Te Atua as both an A4 poster and a bookmark to be printed, as a mmeans of engaging with Te Reo Māori and honouring our bicultural faith heritage.
The bookmarks are designed to have an optional extra layer of 'stained glass' effect using OHP paper, with our beautiful images of Christ interwoven with elements of Māori design.
Printing The Lord's Prayer Bookmarks
- Download: All the files you need are below. Optionally, you can print the OHP file, and print the beautiful images on transparency paper and attach to the back of the bookmarks.
- Print: Print the bookmarks on heavy website A4 card if possible
- Transparency Images: Print these images on transparency (OHP) paper in colour, through your bypass tray in the printer. You can purchase some from Office Max for $26 per 100 sheets, look online at stationery stores or check your Corps cupboards for leftovers from the 90's!
- Cut: Cut the bookmarks up into a regular size. Make sure that the OHP sheets are cut to the same size. Staple the top of each bookmark to secure the 'stained glass' backing onto the back.
