The Shepherd and His sheep- Part 1

Reflections on Psalm 23 and God the shepherd.
A sheep and his shepherd

Think! Just think about it.

The Lord God, the Creator, Amazing God, Lord of Lords – the Uncreated, the Beginning and the End…the Lord is my Shepherd!

Then I am His sheep, His lamb. Oh, Lamb of God, I am Your lamb. I am one who was lost, one who goes astray following my own way. Oh, Lamb of God. You the Spotless One without sin, stain or blemish gave Your life for me so that I would know…The Lord is my Shepherd. What more could I want?

The Lord is my Shepherd! I have everything, every - thing, that I need. Everything? I have every – thing that I need. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want…do I really want the Lord for my Shepherd? Am I willing to follow Him? When I hear His voice, when He calls my name… Do I trust Him enough to quickly obey and follow?

I am like a sheep who goes astray. I LIKE to have my own way. The Lord is my Shepherd. I can trust Him. He will provide everything, EVERY – THING that I need. YES! I want Him.

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 (NIV)

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6 (NIV)
