The Lord is my Shepherd. He teaches me how to pray. Lord God Almighty, You are the Father and Creator of us all. Your Name is Holy. Help us to honor and live up to all it means to share Your family name. Your reputation is Truth, Holiness, Justice, Mercy and Compassion. We can trust You.

We look forward to the complete establishment of Your Kingdom. Help us to work to extend it wherever we go. When You rule the mind, body and soul, Your Kingdom has come. Let Your will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Help us to follow where You lead. Help us to obey. If we trust and obey You, Your will is done in heaven and on earth. Meet our needs this day – all our needs.
Help us to not take You for granted even though we rely on You to meet our needs. Forgive us for our sins, deliberate and accidental. Help us to forgive others just as You have forgiven us. You love each one of us enough to forgive us and to help us move on and not wallow in the guilt. Life is not always easy, but trials of life teach us and help us grow. We trust You to not allow us to be tested beyond what we can endure. The testing will refine us just as gold is refined. Each trial strengthens us so that we can successfully face the next ones. Help us overcome temptations to stray and help us stay close to You, then we have a better chance to avoid the evil of this world and the author of that evil. We live for You and You gave Your life so that we can dwell in the Kingdom of Heaven now and in eternity. Matthew 6:9-13

Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.’” Luke 11:1 (NLT)
