The Lord is my Shepherd. He understands my thoughts. When my head is overcrowded with new ideas and new inspiration, He helps me sort them out. It seems like I cannot find right words to express the wonderful things in my head – my Shepherd anoints my head with the oil of His Presence. The world makes sense again.

The Lord gives me a new song to sing. He is my strength and song. My Shepherd, the Lord, opens the eyes of the blind and unstops the ears of the deaf. He helps us see, hear and respond. He anoints my head with the oil of His Holy Presence. My cup runs over. My head is filled with new thoughts of just how blessed I am.

He gives me eyes to see the wonders of His creation, ears to hear the songs and a heart that is able to comprehend and respond. The journey is filled with new ideas, new discoveries and new joys. He anoints my head with oil. I am His honored guest at the banquet table of delights. My cup runs over. Surely good thoughts, kind words, new ideas, amazing songs and beautiful words will accompany me as I follow my Good Shepherd, King of Kings, Amazing Grace for grazing – new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT)
